Kwalee Hiring Junior Game Economy Designer

Kwalee, a leading developer and publisher of casual and hybrid casual games, is seeking a Junior Game Economy Designer to join their Design team in Bengaluru. This role involves creating and balancing economy models, monetization features, and collaborating closely with game designers, product managers, and data analysts.

Your Role:

• Create and balance economy models, monetization gameplay features, and manage the game’s economy.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, product managers, and data analysts, reporting to the lead game designer.
• Visualize UX designs from conceptualization to implementation using UX tools or Unity.
• Provide feedback and insights on various game designs based on expertise and industry standards.
• Work with analytics to analyze the impact of economic changes on player behavior.

Responsibilities:

• Develop inputs and measurements with designers and analytics to evaluate game economic patterns.
• Model player behaviors and forecast economic impacts using industry-standard tools.
• Design parameters and measurements for effective AB testing of game economy variations.
• Collaborate with Art Leads to ensure effective UI for conveying economic information.
• Passionately play and contribute to making mobile games, demonstrating strong creative ideas and imagination.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in economy design or balancing within gaming or related degree; personal projects count as experience.
• Proficiency in creating models in industry-standard tools for player behavior and economic impacts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a creative, team-oriented environment.
• Passion for playing and creating video games, particularly mobile games.
• Strong numerical skills with understanding of ratios and data relationships.
• Good to excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
