Responsibilities:

  • Product Design:
    • Project Definition: Support DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), FEAs (Finite Element Analyses), and tolerance analysis with guidance from senior engineers.
    • Detailed Design: Assist in creating product models and drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) methodology, including datum selection, dimensioning, and tolerancing aligned with function.
  • Design Verification and Product Validation:
    • Validation Plan: Support the development of test plans (DVP&Rs – Design Verification Plans and Reports) to validate product performance.
    • Test Analysis: Analyze test results using statistical methods.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Root Cause Analysis: Support root cause analysis utilizing structured problem-solving methods (8D – Eight Disciplines of Problem Solving).

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Skills:

  • New Product Design Process: Familiarity with new product design processes.
  • Concept Generation: Experience or knowledge in concept generation.
  • DFMEA and GD&T: Understanding of DFMEA and GD&T.
  • Tolerance Analysis: Skills in tolerance analysis.
  • DVPR and Plastic Parts: Knowledge of DVPR (Design Verification Plans and Reports) and plastic parts manufacturability.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills.
