Work and Responsibilities
- Design Development: Take designs to final prototype stage, including requirements and specifications.
- PCB Layouts: Create schematic and PCB layouts for power, high-speed digital electronics, and RF.
- Component Management: Convert schematics to PCB layout, manage libraries, and verify footprints.
- Product Development: Oversee product development, function, and vendor follow-up.
- Certification Knowledge: Understand global certification standards (FCC, CE, BIS, NCC) and IEC standards for PCB design safety.
- Collaboration: Work with mechanical design engineers for optimum design.
- Documentation: Manage Gerber release, board fabrication drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing data.
- Material Knowledge: Deep knowledge of PCB materials and design considerations for EMI/EMC, thermal, and mechanical performance.
- Technical Expertise: Handle projects independently and apply state-of-the-art design trends and best practices.
- Simulation: Conduct circuit simulations for RF and timing improvements.
- Testing Coordination: Coordinate with testing engineers for PCB validation.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 4+ years in hardware designing in relevant areas.
- Skills: Proficiency in industry-leading schematic & PCB design software tools. Knowledge of circuit functions on PCB, EMI/EMC design considerations, and physical EMI/EMC testing is a plus.
- Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with power electronics, electronic components assembly, and circuit simulations.
