About the Role:
The Hardware division at Ultrahuman has successfully launched two award-winning wearable devices – the Ultrahuman Ring and Ultrahuman Ring Air. The team is working on cutting-edge technology and design in health to help people understand their bodies better and take control of their metabolic fitness. We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-paced journey of launching innovative consumer wearable products.
Work and Responsibilities:
- CAD development and mechanical packaging for electronic hardware to meet mechanical, thermal, and structural requirements.
- Perform calculations and simulations for mechanical stress, thermal stress, etc.
- Collaborate with PCB design and electronic design engineers to achieve optimal design and complete projects within timelines.
- Optimize designs based on inputs from various simulations, vendors, and manufacturing feasibility studies.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and documents.
- Take responsibility for product development, functionality, and follow up with vendors to deliver completed parts.
Primary Skills:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical design, preferably in Mechatronics.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, thermal design, and mechanism design.
- Proficient in engineering drawing conventions, symbols, tolerances, drafting/detailing, GD&T, assembly drawing, BOM, and DFM.
- Experienced in using SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Skilled in finding, evaluating, and interacting with vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Ability to evaluate and fine-tune processes to optimize yield.
- Curiosity to learn, develop, and implement non-standard processes as part of R&D and bring them into production.
