What You’ll Do
As a UX/UI Designer Intern in the BCG X Delivery team, you will play a critical role in shaping exceptional user experiences across various intricate products. Your responsibilities include:
- Design Development: Transform concepts into polished high-fidelity mock-ups that address both business needs and user demands.
- Critical Thinking: Apply problem-solving skills to dissect stakeholder challenges and visually propose effective solutions.
- User Research: Utilize existing customer insights from research to guide design decisions and support research efforts.
- Design Principles: Apply visual and interaction design principles throughout the design process, from initial sketching to high-fidelity prototyping.
- Data Analysis: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data alongside customer and stakeholder perspectives to frame problems and opportunities.
- Visual Communication: Create compelling visual aids (e.g., user journeys, personas, systemic maps) to convey research insights.
- Collaborative Ideation: Facilitate brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to generate creative ideas.
- Design Systems: Utilize and understand various design systems/platforms effectively.
- Testing and Iteration: Test and iterate on designs with stakeholders and users based on feedback.
- Communication: Develop informative materials that explain design decisions to team members and stakeholders.
- Agile Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and content designers to address customer challenges using an agile approach.
- Feedback Management: Collect, process, and act on design feedback constructively.
What You’ll Bring
Experience and Skills:
- Portfolio: Demonstrated experience designing B2B and B2C products, showcasing your visual and UX/UI design skills.
- Proficiency in Figma: Strong skills in using Figma for creating user experiences.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Extensive experience in developing wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups for developer implementation.
- Design Thinking: Expertise in identifying user issues and developing creative solutions by understanding user objectives, pain points, and tasks.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with an openness to mentoring and guiding others.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related field is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A readiness to tackle diverse user and stakeholder challenges.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is highly valued.
