About the Job
Joining as a Software Engineering Intern, you will engage in:
- Software Development: Researching, creating, and enhancing software applications to expand Google’s product offerings.
- Project Collaboration: Contributing to projects involving natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data compression, and search technologies.
- Scalability and Data Access: Collaborating on scalability challenges related to handling large volumes of data and information.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams to support a productive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions to maintain and enhance critical systems at Google.
- Address scalability issues and optimize access to vast amounts of data.
- Collaborate on projects related to mobile development, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, and security software development.
- Contribute to code-level troubleshooting, maintenance of services, and building automation infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Dual degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.).
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently in your penultimate year of study.
- Ability to work on projects in mobile development, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, or security software development.
- Demonstrated ability through tech projects and participation in computer science-related extracurricular activities.
