Role & responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to extract data from various distributed systems, including production databases, analytics tools, and data warehousing solutions.
- Automate and streamline existing data collection processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Categorize and segment data effectively to support targeted analysis and derive meaningful insights.
- Conduct complex data analyses and develop classifiers using Python, applying statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
- Develop and maintain detailed dashboards and reporting systems to monitor key metrics and communicate insights.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure comprehensive data capture and integration for ongoing analytics needs.
Skills Required:
- Highly proficient in SQL and Python; familiarity with R is a plus.
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, particularly in data science applications.
- Experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
- In-depth knowledge of database management and architecture, including SQL and NoSQL platforms.
- Experience in data wrangling, ETL processes, and transforming raw data into usable databases.
- Proficiency in using Postgres, AWS technologies (DynamoDB, Athena, Redshift), and Apache Airflow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
