Job Dimensions (role and responsibilities):
- Quantitative analysis research, particularly with tools like ESRI Arc GIS, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, SPSS, Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), Google Earth Engine, Python, and FME Desktop.
- Spatial analysis and quality checking.
- Expertise in crop monitoring and yield estimation.
- Satellite-based farm-level crop mapping and monitoring.
- Knowledge of agriculture insurance and the operational guidelines of the PMFBY scheme.
- Creating ad hoc reports as per business requirements.
- Required qualifications: B.Tech/B.Sc. in Statistics or Science, M.Sc./M.Tech. in Remote Sensing & GIS, or Geo Informatics.
- 3-5 years of experience with working knowledge of software like QGIS, ArcGIS, and ERDAS Imagine.
