In this workshop you will learn from scratch, to make the round loom Santa Claus in the arts academy with Gise Martel. You will learn to cover the round frame with wool, to make the warp in the round, like bicycle rays, to weave the base of your loom with fleece and then to shape it from Santa Claus, with his beard, his hat, his pompom, his prominent nose, all with the technique of felted or pierced fleece. This technique consists of drawing and painting a design with fleece, which in this case is Santa Claus or Viejito Pascuero (as it is said in my country, Chile). Then you will give him expression with his smile and his eyes. Finally, you will give the finishes to get a neat and professional creation. It works with a ring, which in this case is the inner ring of a frame to embroider, with fleece, with needle to pierce or felter the fleece,with cotton thread to make the warp, with wool to make the beard long, with a wool needle and with a thick cushion, it is ideally foam, on which to prick the fleece. This Santa will give you the guideline to create your own Santa designs, changing the expression on his face, changing the colors, with rings of different sizes, with noses larger or smaller, in order to decorate your home with your creations or to give away, this Christmas and all that come.
