What We Do Associate Content Designer at Rockstar Games, Dundee

• Create and author various game content such as missions, competitive modes, race modes, open world content, and a wide variety of other similar content.
• Work closely with other designers to develop and iterate on ideas, conducting frequent internal play-throughs to review and further develop content.
• Utilize tools that allow for quick turnaround and iteration on ideas, whether prototyping something new or developing an exciting new idea for existing content.
• Collaborate with a wide range of departments such as Art, SFX, VFX, Script, Code, Animation, Writing, etc., to develop and implement assets.

• Create missions, competitive mode locations, race tracks, and other game content using in-house content creation tools.
• Prototype ideas for new content.
• Maintain content by fixing bugs, implementing feedback, and identifying potential issues.
• Work with Lead Designers to develop content further and iterate on ideas.
• Provide constructive feedback through notes or bugs, ensuring the design is implemented as expected in-game.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of specified designs and understand the team’s design goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop, implement, and maintain features within content, such as VFX, SFX, Animation, and Code.
• Work closely with the script team to maintain and develop content creation tools.
• Adhere to internal systems, software, and maintain documentation and resources in line with design updates and feedback.
• Manage competing priorities effectively, ensuring all relevant parties are informed of project status/changes.
