Job Purpose
The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for technical support of Windows network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Technical support of Windows network infrastructure (1000+ workstations).
- Install and configure software and hardware.
- Inventory and accounting of equipment movement.
- Set up accounts and workstations, remote support.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Automation of frequently performed tasks and issue resolution.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in system administration or technical engineering.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation.
- Knowledge of local area networks.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Windows Server administration/certifications, Virtualization technologies; Scripting, software updates automation, Linux administration as a plus.
- Microsoft Active Directory and Domain administration (GPOs, account management, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Client-centric mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
