Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and support reliable, robust software applications and services.
• Participate actively in feature requirements gathering, design, and implementation.
• Collaborate with product management on development sprints.
• Perform code reviews and provide timely feedback to other engineers.

Desired Skills:

• Proficient in backend/Middleware/Platform development.
• 1+ years of strong hands-on experience with Java 8 or later.
• Strong understanding of Java-based frameworks such as Spring (Core, Boot, MVC, ORM, JDBC).
• Exposure to NoSQL DB like Cassandra, MongoDB, along with Solr/ElasticSearch is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Perl, Python.
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS like Sybase/MSSQL.
• Some experience (could be academic) with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in developing in microservices architecture and/or writing APIs.
• Exposure to build tools (like Maven), Git, Splunk, JIRA.
• Passion for finance and knowledge of the portfolio management space.
• Proficiency in building and creating great products that solve big problems.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and time management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and passion for understanding existing systems.

Good to Have (Not Mandatory):

• Exposure to Spark and Scala.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge along with a good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
