Job Purpose:
As a member of the Trade Based Money Laundering (TBML) team, you will be responsible for identifying and monitoring transactions as per regulatory provisions and guidelines to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze red flags/alerts generated by the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) system to identify potential suspicious activity.
- Review reports related to cross-border remittances to detect suspicious transactions.
- Analyze unusual transaction patterns based on predefined scenarios in the system.
- Forward AML alerts to branches for enhanced due diligence and follow-up until resolution.
- Timely reporting of suspicious transactions and executing instructions from law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of money laundering, trade-based money laundering, terrorist financing issues, regulations, and industry trends.
- Assist in identifying procedural weaknesses and recommend additional training requirements or process improvements.
