Role Description:
The Application Engineer is responsible for all application and project engineering activities related to multistage centrifugal blowers and high-speed turbo blowers for the India and Middle East regions, and supporting other global customers when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Order Activities:
- Customer visits for presentations and generating RFQs.
- Detailed study of client specifications and project requirements.
- Develop technical solutions and prepare technical and commercial offers.
- Handle customer queries and attend techno-commercial meetings.
- Coordinate with internal sales teams and follow up with customers.
Post-Order Activities:
- Interpret order requirements and coordinate with various departments.
- Review customer purchase orders and amendments.
- Resolve issues impacting project progress.
- Monitor project costs and timelines.
- Oversee production processes and suggest improvements.
- Maintain engineering documents and design change information.
- Assist in the installation process at customer sites.
Essential Functions:
- Handle customer assistance requests and complaints.
- Prepare and forward preliminary bills of material and submittals for customer approval.
- Monitor and assist in project equipment design and build processes.
- Ensure compliance with customer receipt dates.
Measurements:
- Indirectly manage 1-2 employees through subordinate supervisors/managers.
- Control annual bookings of 4-6 million USD.
- Responsibility for 4-6 million USD annual sales.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- Experience with multistage centrifugal blower products and high-speed turbo blower products.
- Project management experience and the ability to interface with various departments and customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education/Training Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or international equivalent).
- Proficient in computer software necessary for the job (e.g., CAD/CAM, Chem Cad, HTRI, Microsoft Office).
