Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and versatile web designer/developer. The ideal candidate will specialize in creating beautiful and responsive sites that adhere to modern web standards, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility. You will work closely with our web development team to conceptualize and implement creative ideas for the IIMB website and related sites, including conference sites, UG sites, digital learning sites, centre/area/programme sites, and partner programs.
To excel in this role, you must have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with all stakeholders.
- Implementing designs with the development team.
- Testing and improving the design of the website and related sites.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices; creating and updating the style guide.
- Maintaining website appearance by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites in line with IIMB branding.
- Working with various content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages including colors and fonts.
- Preparing design plans and presenting website structure.
Key Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expert-level skills in interactive web design and front-end user experience and interface development for all web devices and modern browsers.
- Ability to educate others on best web practices and guide design solutions.
- Stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and the ability to balance beauty, innovation, and usability.
- Understanding of how implementation decisions impact user experience in terms of browser and device compatibility, accessibility, internationalization, and performance.
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web development technologies and software.
- Proficiency with content management systems like Drupal, including installation and configuration.
- Advanced knowledge of user profiling, usability testing, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools and related analyses and reporting.
Qualification and Personal Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficiency in modern front-end development tools and languages.
- Ability to design responsive websites.
- Ability to install, configure, and administer CMS such as WordPress and Drupal.
- Provide a link to your current portfolio (work done in the last 6 months to 1 year).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Compensation:
- The indicative annual CTC will be around Rs. 14 Lakhs. The compensation will be fixed based on IIMB Contract Appointment Rules.
