Position Summary:
As an Analyst in the Fund Accounting team, you will ensure accurate and timely NAV delivery and perform reconciliations between client general ledger data and market data providers. The role blends product knowledge with technology usage, involving accounting for corporate actions, trading and non-trading accruals, portfolio pricing, and profit and loss computation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage open/close-ended hedge funds, including trade reconciliation and integration.
- Book corporate actions trades.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly GAV/NAV, including:
- Booking capital activities
- Market value reconciliation
- Profit and loss computation
- Expense accounting
- Dividend accrual reconciliation
- Bond coupon accrual reconciliation
- Confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers
- Coordinate with clients and external sources for break resolution.
- Work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality delivery as per standard operating procedures.
Skills Required:
- Chartered Accountant.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, fund accounting NAV calculation, performance calculations, and financial instrument valuation.
- Proficiency with a broad range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, OTC products, and hedge funds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and counterpart interaction.
- Experience with accounting tools, general ledger packages, valuation tools, and front/back office processing systems.
Advantageous Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting applications like Enfusion, VPM, or Geneva.
- Working knowledge of private equity and SPV accounting.
