Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines, setting up complex automations, and integrating various databases and APIs. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and data science, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize robust data pipelines using Python-based frameworks, such as Airflow.
- Set up complex automations for diverse business use cases using Python.
- Work with various databases, including MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, Timeseries databases, and S3, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Utilize different APIs for data manipulation and project-specific needs, demonstrating strong integration skills.
- Apply data science techniques and implement machine learning models to solve real-world problems.
- Perform data analysis, manipulation, and presentation using SQL and Excel.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Prerequisites:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with a demonstrated understanding of their applications in data engineering, analytics, and data science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and data engineering, showing a track record of progressive responsibility and success.
- Proven experience with data science and implementing machine learning models.
- Strong skills in Excel for data analysis, manipulation, and presentation.
