Role Overview:
The Technical Lead will support project planning, requirement understanding, design, coding, testing, deployment, project execution monitoring, service support, knowledge management, and people management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Setup:
- Understand project scope, identify activities/tasks, and provide estimates.
- Provide inputs on testing strategy, configuration, deployment, hardware/software requirements.
- Participate in KT sessions and provide feedback on requirements.
- Requirement Understanding and Analysis:
- Analyze functional/non-functional requirements and seek clarifications.
- Provide feedback on gaps in requirements and technical feasibility.
- Design:
- Prepare LLD/detailed design documents based on HLD.
- Suggest changes in design on technical grounds.
- Identify tools, technologies, and reusable objects for the project.
- Coding:
- Follow coding standards and best practices.
- Guide developers in preparing unit test cases and fixing defects.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and code reviews.
- Testing Management:
- Develop unit test cases and conduct unit/integration testing.
- Provide support to the QA team and address queries.
- Investigate critical defects and establish need for fixing.
- Configuration Management:
- Maintain versions of the code and provide support during configuration and deployment.
- Deployment:
- Create deployment/rollback plans.
- Validate component migration and perform sanity checks post-deployment.
- Project Execution Monitoring & Closure:
- Monitor developers’ work and provide guidance through SDLC.
- Provide status updates and support in transition to maintenance.
- Service Support and Maintenance:
- Provide support for 1 week post-release and assist in defect fixing.
- Knowledge Management:
- Create and update knowledge articles and guide developers in creating documents.
- Publish white papers/blogs/articles if required.
- People Management:
- Conduct training and technical interviews.
- Provide feedback on developers and support team-building activities.
