Job Description For Communications Intern at ACLU of Florida – Miami, FL (Remote):
The Communications Intern will contribute to the day-to-day functions of the communications department, including writing various materials, building media expertise, increasing coverage of ACLU issues, monitoring news trends, and engaging in research projects.
Experience & Qualifications For Communications Intern at ACLU of Florida – Miami, FL (Remote):
- Strong oral, written, and editing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Avid news reader
- Familiarity with news media and online platforms
- Familiarity with best practices in communications and public relations
- Experience in journalism, public relations, communications, or content creation preferred
- Interest and commitment to social justice, civil rights, and liberties
- Proficiency in Associated Press style is a plus
- Familiarity with Outlook, Asana, Slack, and Canva
- Fluency in Spanish or Kreyol preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits For Communications Intern at ACLU of Florida – Miami, FL (Remote):
- $15 per hour for those not receiving course credit
- Approximately 20 hours per week
