Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and versatile web designer/developer, specializing in building beautiful and responsive sites based on modern web standards that ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with all stakeholders.
- Implementing designs with the development team.
- Testing and improving the design of the website and related sites.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices, and updating the style guide.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites in line with IIMB branding.
- Working with different content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages including colors and fonts.
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
Key Skill and Ability Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expert-level skills in interactive web design and front-end user experience and interface development.
- Ability to educate others on best web practices and guide others in creating design solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of implementation decisions impact on user experience.
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related website development technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of content management systems like WordPress and Drupal.
- Ability to innovate.
- Advanced knowledge of user profiling, usability testing, and quality assurance practices.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools and related analyses.
Qualification and Personal Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficiency in modern front-end development tools and languages.
- Ability to design responsive websites.
- Ability to install, configure, and administer CMS such as WordPress and Drupal.
- Portfolio link required (Work done in the last 6 months to 1 year).
Other Requirements:
- Expected to work extended hours and weekends.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
The indicative annual CTC will be around Rs. 14 Lakhs, based on IIMB Contract Appointment Rules.
